Who are we?

With members from Ashby, Donisthorpe, Oakthorpe, Packington, Smisby, Blackfordby and Moira, we're a friendly group that welcomes all. Every week over 190 young people from Ashby and the surrounding villages meet with us. We run Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from Donisthorpe Scout Centre. 4th Ashby Scout Group is a registered charity (No 1125053). We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We're part of a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

Invite to join our Trustee Board

As you may know, we require a Board of Trustees (sometimes known as a committee) to run the group. These people are voted in at our AGM in November. We are inviting people to put their names forward as potential candidates please, ideally by the end of September. We really need more Trustees, so if you think you can give a few hours a month and make a real difference, please email gtb@4thashby.org.uk We need Leaders and Helpers We also still DESPERATELY need more people to join the beaver, cub and scout teams and more occasional helpers to get involved. If you can spare any time please get involved – even if you’ve never done it before. We will help you every step of the way. Email gtb@4thashby.org.uk for more information.
