Weβre looking for volunteer Trustees to support our Scout group with governance, oversight and good decision-making. Trustees work behind the scenes to make sure the group is safe, sustainable and well run.
This role is ideal for people who want to contribute to their community without running weekly meetings.
What Trustees help with
β’ Oversight of finances and budgets
β’ Governance and compliance
β’ Supporting major decisions and plans
β’ Property and equipment oversight
β’ Fundraising and grant support
β’ General advice from your experience
Youβll be part of a small, friendly Trustee Board working with the Group Lead Volunteer and section teams.
Time commitment
π Around 4β6 meetings per year
π Occasional emails or decisions between meetings
β± Typically a few hours per month
Useful skills (any of these help, none required)
β Finance or bookkeeping
β Property or maintenance knowledge
β Charity governance
β HR, legal or admin experience
β Planning or project skills

β Previous Scouting experience
β To attend weekly youth meetings
